It’s a funny thing..you hear layoffs…you hear people jobless and you hear people are hungry for business..really? You could have fooled me…because if I were hungry for business…or jobless or hungry I think I would move faster than a snails pace.
I am always hungry for business…always looking ahead and do my best to get my response time in sync with what customers want today…as soon as possible..and in most instances..they expect an answer or action immediately!
We have the tools...we have the means…and it’s important to take the time to learn and utilize tools that reduces response time….slow moving actions…things we can control!
How about your service providers?
While many companies have downsized…it’s understandable, heck we are down to two offices now….but it doesn’t give anyone the right to not conduct business in a timely manner.
Customers deserve better than this and more importantly they expect it. Just because there are layoffs…or downsizing…plain and simple to me its just an excuse…I’m just wondering if some are experiencing what I have witnessed lately?
When I worked in retail..we used to have saying…“you are only as good as your last visit”..meaning…corporate…but in this instance….
You are only as good as the service you provide…which indeed includes your service providers! Their actions..their reactions can and will affect your business…your customers and money in your pocket.
Are service providers in sync with your business or do they use downsizing as an excuse? I don’t know about you but if service providers are not in sync with my business..its time to bid farewell!
