Interesting conversation I had last night..you see someone close to me said something I took in an insulting way.  Their wise words, their wisdom..I don’t know it kinda stung and their poor choice of words didn’t help matters its as if I had to piece together a riddle and when I played back the conversation I think I knew what they meant…but did I…I wasn’t sure.

I had to ask, I mean this wonderful person would never insult intentionally….good thing I asked because after their explanation, I was right, the poor choice of words would have probably insulted anyone because what was said and what they meant were 2 different things.  I made a  comment so that I was repeating what they said based on my interpretation and it sounded  insulting,  I said it in a way that I was almost in agreement when truly I was clarifying the words in the conversation. When I did this rather than correct the way they expressed themselves…  they ever so kindly pointed out when you say it to yourself like that…its self loathing.  Although I found this to be an interesting twist in the conversation…. without a doubt it was profound for me and opened up my mind.

Let’s face it, opinions flow.. and they won’t always be good.  Reading, repeating and reliving someone else’s negative opinion of you..its very much like self talk..self hate and worse…self loathing..the best way to combat this…is remind yourself..its none of my business what others think about me.  Its their opinion not mine.

Build confidence and have courage to let these opinions roll off your back! When u place too much importance on what others say, you tend to lose a sense of self… When it comes to you….it’s your opinion that counts that truly matters..its you that you face in the mirror each day. Regardless of what other’s opinions are of you…you are unique…you are special…and you are beautiful…

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise and do yourself a favor stop reliving the negative things that others say about you…its their mere mortal opinion….. Sometimes listening to some opinions and repeating and reliving what was said.. it can turn into self talk…self hate…and worse…self loathing.

As humans we have a tendency to value others opinions..and I do to a certain degree.  Why not put them in a place where they belong…far away from your Psyche…away from thoughts.  You only have one shot at life..are you gonna let someone’s mere mortal opinion stand in your way?

The majority of the time I have online for myself you will find me on Facebook. I seem to generate business right from there and have the ability to connect with friends, peers and clients all in one spot. My business page is junk and in truth I really don’t care for it. I have a great name, I’m very lucky. I feed my Activerain feed to it. I don’t post too much there..its everything a business page should not be!

As a real estate agent I think they are important. So important that they should be easily found. One thing I noticed is there is the ability to connect your Facebook business page directly to your profile. I don’t see many posts about how to do it and am surprised many real estate agents | businesses do not do this.

Can You Find Your Facebook Business Page – If You Can’t How Do You Expect Consumers To?

I won’t add any fancy graphics to this its really very simple. I have shared this secret with many people.

If you go to the top of your profile page you’ll see where you work right? Well go in and edit your information and fire yourself..it’s a joke…simply delete your place of employment.

Once you have deleted where you work go back to it and add a new employer, instead of typing your company name, type the name of your Facebook business page. It will surface. Make sure and use the exact name of your Facebook business page when typing into the employment block.

Once you see it, click on it and you will have officially connected your business page to your profile.

Please join his page…he is my son!

Some might disagree with me, why? They do not want to connect their profile page with their business page which really doesn’t make sense. I also noticed that many agents place an additional ink on their profile where their work or real estate website is. Usually there is a link to their facebook business page or other social media sites they participate in.
