Researching Real Estate It's Local Yo!

cropped Daytona Beach 2 150x110 Researching Real Estate It's Local Yo!

We are always looking for ways to increase our Google juice…we need to be found…in order to capture the next real estate buyer or seller.

We can use strong key word rich content but if no one is reading..it won’t really matter will it? Now that they are visiting your site and blog what are you going to do to keep them there…keep them reading…and contacting you?

Generic Content is Not Always Useful

It isn’t just location…location…location..it’s local yo!

Real Local-Consumers Want Details

Yesterday I was writing about a subdivision in unfamiliar territory…I found a few useful sources and some things to consider when blogging or updating your website.

* Did you know that sometimes you can find communities on Face book? Type the subdivision in the search and see if you can join the local community. I joined a community that I was researching and learned more about the subdivision than anywhere else on the web.

* Wikipedia is a fantastic source of information for area information..notable information.

* Did you know many times HOA’s and developments have their own websites and forums? Very easy to obtain local information and who knows you might be the only REALTOR in the forum.

* Not everyone is familiar with your area..so get down and dirty and share local roads, landmarks and the benefits of living in your beautiful city.

* Events, Activities and local businesses sometimes appeal to people considering relocating to your area

* Some cities have so much positive press, use it in your online local marketing. Ex: CNN’s Top 100 best

* What about you? How do you market yourself? Were you number one in your office? You think it doesn’t matter but it does. People want success not someone winging it.

* Maps, photos and more photos, share your neighborhood, your volunteer work, and all the treasures in your community.

* Always offer a call to action, view homes…contact us…every page should give the consumer a chance to reach us.

Remember real estate is local yo!

Learn To Be Your Biggest Fan….Self Promote!

Concert fans Learn To Be Your Biggest Fan....Self Promote!

Did you know that the magic number of the estimated world population is 6,612,227,120 ?  I’d say there is plenty of business to go around all we have to do is go after it and seek it!

Did you know there are approximately 302,623,872 people in the United States?  I still think with the United States population alone there still is plenty of business to go around, again all we have to do is go after it and seek it.

Name recognition is so important in business.  With over  1.3 million members of the National Association of Realtors. How are you going to stand out?  You have to do your part to be seen and heard!

Remember the Midori…Midori…Midori post..Get connected with your share of the world!no photos please Learn To Be Your Biggest Fan....Self Promote!

Learn To Be Your Biggest Fan…Self Promote!

With 2010 approaching quickly…Get Ready…Get Set….Self Promote!

Business Cards-Do you have a tag line? Photo?  Your best number to be reached?  How about your designations, your web address.  What about the famous words….GOOGLE ME!

Let’s not forget the back of the card, use it and ask for referrals.
Name tags-It’s simple just put it on. Don’t leave home without it!  I bet your name tag will generate an additional real estate conversation or two.
Get Involved-The Board of Realtors, organizations, local politics, Chamber of Commerce, Toastmasters, Volunteer.  You get the point, get involved in life and real estate will follow.

Be Seen and Heard-If you attend any group red carpet02 150x150 Learn To Be Your Biggest Fan....Self Promote!functions such as seminars and training sessions, speak up, speak out!  I don’t mean be obnoxious, simply participate and get recognized.

Print Materials- Create personalized materials with all of your contact info, remember the customer chose you to buy and/or sell real estate, that’s right you, not your company!

Don’t be generic….Get personal….

Voice Mail-Record a talking billboard, state your name, your hours of operation and don’t forget your website. Sometimes a voice mail is the 1st contact that a customer will have with you.

Mailings-Be cost efficient, go ahead send just listed and just sold but supplement your mailings with postcard style schedules.

Good ideas are NFL Football Schedule, Baseball Schedule, School Schedule, Community Event Schedule.

I guarantee that one day you will walk into a house and see one of your schedules.

Online Marketing- Do I even have to go there? If you are here and still don’t get, refer to the 1000′s of post here on Activerain.

Be Good to People- The best way to self promote is “Walk the Walk!” and “Talk the Talk!” and follow the golden rule.  In our business, no publicity is definitely better than bad publicity so be yourself but most importantly be good to people.

Do yourself a favor and learn To Be Your Biggest Fan…Self Promote! If  you won’t do it, someone else will, doesn’t everyone know a Realtor?

I’m No Biker Babe but I Love Daytona Beach!

Biketoberfest Im No Biker Babe but I Love Daytona Beach! When I was a little girl my father put me on the back of a motorcycle with him.  Before he could tell me be careful and don’t touch the exhaust pipe…I had already burnt my leg.  My first encounter with a motorcycle.

While attending college in Broward County, I rode on the back of my best friends motorcycle but one day we came close to death when a gentleman tapped the back of the motorcycle.

Neither one of us got hurt but that was the end of my biker babe days!

Yesterday as I traveled North on A1A.   They were back...the bikers…it made me smile.  Smile for many reasons.

My drive time seemed to be longer, not because traffic is bad but because I was enjoying the sights.  You can feel the excitement in the air as vendors are set up all over the street. Daytona Beach needs commerce and we are happy the bikers have returned.

Motorcycles everywhere and our city once again has life… so many activities...our town so alive!

Many people in Daytona Beach ride, I am not one of them.  While I am no biker babe I do love Daytona Beach!

The natural beauty is incredible, we actually have beaches that are simply beaches…areas without concrete and still much natural wildlife.

Daytona Bike Week by bald1eagle Im No Biker Babe but I Love Daytona Beach!Beautiful birds, plenty of squirrels and possums…deer…turtles..let’s not forget the manatee’s and the dolphins…Such a beautiful sight!

In Daytona Beach we still have vacant land, that’s right we aren’t built out or even close.

The lifestyle here is different, its a little more casual, a bit more relaxed…the beauty of small town.

Let me share with you some interesting facts about the Daytona Beach area…

Yes we have baseball The Daytona Cubs, Class-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, you can watch them play at the ball field which is located in City Island in downtown Daytona Beach.

Life is Fishing 150x150 Im No Biker Babe but I Love Daytona Beach! In the Daytona Beach area, we have some of the freshest seafood, fish from the river and the ocean, we have clamming, crabbing and fishing and shrimping.

All great eating. My personal favorite is clamming and fishing running a close second.

the starting field lineup 150x150 Im No Biker Babe but I Love Daytona Beach! The Daytona Beach International Speedway is known as the World Center for Racing.

The Angell and Phelps Chocolate Factory is located in downtown Daytona Beach…if you like chocolate you’ll love Angell and Phelps.  Take a tour…enjoy some chocolate.

In Daytona Beach, our Flea and Farmer’s Market cover over 40 acres of land, a wide variety of vendors and many many bargains.

Sugar Mill Gardens is located in Port Orange, Florida 1 city south of Daytona Beach.  Enjoy the old English sugar mill, with 12 acres of botanical gardens…really breathtaking.I got married there…just beautiful..something to see.

Tomoka State park is located just north of Ormond Beach, Florida. 400 years ago the Timucua Indians inhabited the area.

Tomoka State Park offers fishing, hiking, camping and boating.

Don’t want to travel north..plenty of parks and wildlife areas are throughout Volusia County.

Ormond Beach is one city north of Daytona Beach and is the headquarters for the Hawaiian Tropic Plant.

The Hawaiian Tropic Plant employs 2,000 people world wide and the plant covers over 306,500 square feet.  Now that is a lot of suntan lotion.

These are just a few things I love about Daytona Beach, while I am no biker babe...I sure am happy to make my home here.

Welcome Bikers and Enjoy Biketoberfest!
