Facebook has become one of my favorite social networking sites…and today I reached 1000 friends.  To me I found this to be pretty cool…more than likely it would take me a lifetime to meet so many people.

The past few days my email has blown up…I’ve become a facebook groupie..that’s right…over 75 fan request in the past two days.   I admit I am working on my fan page..and hope to grab myself a groupie or two.

Did you grab your own facebook fan page?  If not you should!

One of my favorite real estate bloggers handed me one of the finest compliments.  Coming from Lenn Harley, Homefinders.com I admit I really appreciated it.  If you do not read her you should..she is enlightening…she is extremely experienced and opinionated!

Midori-Social Network Maven?

In a comment on Activerain.com Network, Lenn states:

“Goodness Midori.  Looking at the list of social media venues you work, it appears that you are more than a social network expert, you are a social network MAVEN.”

Then you look at my sidebar filled with all the social networks I belong to..it sure looks that way.   In reality it’s an illusion but the way I view it it’s my own personal Internet.

Many of these social networks allow auto updates for your blogs and sometimes people connect in more than one place.

When I think of social media and social networking..I think of building my own Internet through all of these venues…like a spider weaving a web..and pulling people in whether it is daily, weekly or monthly.

Its taking each piece of silk and creating an extension of the web and continuing this process until the web my personal web is large enough and if not the spider maven continues…just like a spider web your social networks  once a section you link  is done there is a chance an intruder friends, readers, business might be caught..

With all of these social networks that you have to choose from, living in reality you cannot always be social but you can sure link all of sites together and create your own personal web.

And for argument’s sake..some social sites..I check on once a month..and others everyday.  In business we have to look at the rate of return and determine which site offers you the best bang for you buck…and I can tell you..many of the best are FREE!

It’s an interesting thing…many write…but do not  link…for me I have to reference…past posts…because no matter how you slice it…Blogging…Social Networking..is marketing too!

I’ve had my hand slapped for self promoting…by one silent blogger…

But for every one of those hand slapping bloggers..there are many who appreciate the extra links… and don’t get offended by the self promotion…

After all that is what most bloggers are trying to accomplish…

Readers..Friends..Business..and opportunities..

Get Your Name Out…its a huge blogosphere and you want a piece of it, right?

Take into consideration..how many utilize the net…every day…every hour…every minute..

My goal everyday is to see…..at least 100 readers a day…so if I can’t get in one blog post…

There might be two…but just because you may have under 100 readers in a day…doesn’t mean people are not reading…..

I can tell you…

People sit on blogs and read a few pages if the posts are interesting…

If you provide a wealth of information..

I can assure you if you offer links to your past posts many of your readers will appreciate them…read them…and there is a good chance…

They will come back for more.

* Why not help it along…and link to some of your older posts…after all google loves it!

* Remember everyday new people join all of our social networks that we belong too

* Less than 1% leave comments…that tells me many are reading.  Be smart…make your blogging work for you and Link Baby Link!
