About

Hi, I’m Midori Miller—a writer, author, and storyteller with a lifelong love of words, creativity, and meaningful reflection.

I live in the Midwest, surrounded by open skies, small-town rhythms, and the kind of everyday moments that often become the best stories. Writing has always been my way of making sense of the world and holding onto memories, noticing beauty, and sharing hope. Writing has taught me a lot about myself.

My Story as a Writer and Author

I’m an author of two children’s books and the creator of several online spaces where writing, creativity, reflection, and common sense meet. Over the years, I’ve written poetry, personal essays, and blog posts that explore family, growth, habits, imagination, business and the small changes that slowly shape a meaningful life.  Instead of chasing perfection. I believe in gentle progress, changing one habit, one thought, one sentence at a time. That philosophy shows up in my writing and in how I live my life.

What I Do as a Writer and Educator

  • Write & Create – Personal essays, poetry, and blog posts rooted in real life
  • Author – Children’s stories that spark imagination and connection –
  • English Tutor – Working with students around the world to build confidence through language
  • Educator at Heart – Homeschooling, mentoring, and encouraging curiosity at every age

What You’ll Find on MidoriMiller.com

On MidoriMiller.com, you’ll find writing that’s honest, reflective, and deeply human. Pages of personal essays, creative writing, and thoughtful blog posts rooted in real life. Some pieces are creative, some practical, some nostalgic, but all are written with care. My hope is that something here makes you pause, smile, or feel a little less alone.

I write for people who:

  • Love words but don’t always have time to write
  • Believe growth doesn’t have to be loud or rushed
  • Value kindness, curiosity, and authenticity

Beyond the Page

When I’m not writing, I’m learning something new, talking with people from different cultures, or enjoying the simple joy of being present with family. I love nature, meaningful conversation, cooking, baking and the idea that it’s never too late to begin again.
